You do not need a polished brief. What changed, what can you see, and which decision or outcome is now at stake?

## Start with the signal

Write this as you would explain it to another leader. Technical detail is welcome when it matters, but it is not required.

1. **What changed?** Give the immediate context.
2. **What can you see?** Describe the symptom, risk or decision.
3. **Why now?** Say what becomes expensive if nothing changes.
